Maui County's Test-to-Treat Program
Our COVID-19 testing site is Maui's only test-to-treat program location. Here, individuals with COVID-19 are able to receive a free PCR COVID-19 test, a prescription for Paxlovid (an oral antiviral treatment - if they are eligible), and have the prescription filled—all in one location!

What is Paxlovid?
Paxlovid is a prescription medication used to treat COVID-19 in adults and children aged 12 years and older who weigh at least 40 kilograms (about 88 pounds) and who are at high risk of developing severe COVID-19 symptoms.

Paxlovid contains two active ingredients, nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, which work together to block the activity of an enzyme called the SARS-CoV-2 main protease. By blocking this enzyme, Paxlovid may help to reduce the amount of virus in the body and speed up recovery from COVID-19.
